Fast Antivirus 2009 (or FastAntivirus2009) is a rogue spyware removal application. It behaves like a real anti-spyware scanner, but displays fake or exaggerated list of spyware threats scarying the user. It tries to push the victim into purchasing of the "full" version of that rogue application. Fast Antivirus 2009 is a clone of such rogue anti-spyware programs as Virus Sweeper or Virus Shield.
Fast Antivirus 2009 periodically displays fake system messages or warning boxes from the Windows tray, where the icon of the Fast Antivirus 2009 will appear. If the user chooses option to remove detected "infections", it will be immediately asked to buy full version of Fast Antivirus 2009 and redirected to the payment page.
Usually, Fast Antivirus 2009 is installed on the victim's computer by Vundo trojan or FakeAlert trojan, so the computer should be scanned with trusted anti-virus or anti-spyware program as soon as possible!
