Remove SpyMaxx

SpyMaxx is a fake antispyware / antivirus program that relies on several trojans to install it on your computer. Here's how the process goes:

• A trojan infects your computer and downloads VirusHeat


• The trojan starts displaying error and warning messages


• SpyMaxx scans your computer and pretends to detect the alleged trojan(s)


• SpyMaxx demands payment to remove the implanted entries

Needless to say, SpyMaxx does not remove the trojan that installed it.

A main symptom that your computer is infected with SpyMaxx is that your desktop becomes hijacked and can read something similar to "Warning: Spyware threat has been detected on your PC. Your computer has several fatal errors due to spyware activity." You may also also receive warning messages that your computer is infected with "TrojanDownloader.XS".
