Homesecuresite.com Homepage Hijacker
Homesecuresite.com is the latest homepage hijacker by a very active trojan called Zlob Trojan. It changes user's homepage to http://homesecuresite.com/security/ which tries to sell fake antispyware programs. On its own, Homesecuresite.com is not all that dangerous but the fact that it is installed by a trojan - namely Zlob - makes it a high risk security threat. Zlob Trojan uses many scare tactics to promote several fake antispyware programs such as MS Antivirus, AntiSpyCheck, Windows Antivirus 2008, WinSecure Antivirus, Win PC Doctor, Ultimate Antivirus and VirusProtect.
Computers infected with Homesecuresite.com exhibit symptoms such as 'Security Alert' error messages and W32.Myzor.FK@yf infection warnings. Also, user's homepage becomes hijacked to http://homesecuresite.com/security/.
